Odoo is a modular ERP: you switch on CRM, accounting, inventory or point of sale as you need them, and they all share the same customers, the same products and the same stock. That is its charm and also its limit — the base is excellent, but every company crashes in the same place: the flow that makes it different from everyone else. Do we have to switch everything on from day one?
No, and it is almost never a good idea. Odoo comes on module by module: the usual route is to start with the circuit that hurts most — sales and invoicing, or inventory — and add the rest once the team already lives inside it. They all share the same customer and product base, so growing never forces a migration.
Community or Enterprise?
It depends on what you are missing, not on the label. Plenty of companies discover that what they need is not in the difference between editions, but in what nobody has built for them. How long does an implementation take?
