JUMO Community Plus · Users

Growing in people shouldn't cost licenses.

In most ERPs, growing is paid for twice: once in payroll and once in licenses. Every person who joins adds a monthly fee, so you end up deciding who deserves access to the system — and the warehouse operator, the field technician or whoever could log their own work are left outside, sending data over WhatsApp. Odoo Community charges nothing per user, and Community Plus leans on exactly that: everybody inside, and the license budget invested in building what genuinely sets you apart.

Everybody inside

From ten to a thousand people at the same license cost: zero. When access is not rationed, the data goes in where it is generated — in the warehouse, on site, at the counter — and stops being reconstructed after the fact.

The investment goes into building

What others put into renewing licenses every year, you put into integrations, automation and your own development. It is money that stays inside your system instead of leaving as a recurring fee.

No hostages

Open source and data in your own database. You can change provider, audit what is running and take it all with you. It is the only healthy relationship: it gets renewed because it works, not because leaving is unviable.

A portal for those who are not users

Customers and suppliers reach their orders, invoices and quotes through the portal without taking up an internal user seat. Information gets shared without opening your front door to anyone.

Serious permissions

Everybody getting in does not mean everybody sees everything: groups, record rules and field-level permissions set who reaches what. Opening the system and controlling it are not incompatible.

Ready to scale

Architecture designed for the company you are going to be: multi-company, multi-warehouse and multi-currency from the start. Growing does not force a rebuild, which is where budgets really go.

Questions we get asked

Is there really no cost per user?
There is none for the Odoo Community license: you can register your whole workforce without the software bill changing. What does grow with use is infrastructure — server and backups — which is a fraction of what a per-head license costs.
So where is the business?
In the work: implementation, modules that cover what Community does not ship, integrations and support. We would rather charge for building and supporting than for counting how many people switch the program on each morning.
Can we limit what each person sees?
Yes, with permission groups, record rules and field restrictions. A salesperson sees their opportunities, a warehouse operator their delivery notes and management sees everything, with whatever detail you decide in each case.
And customers and suppliers?
They come in through the portal, which consumes no internal user: they check their orders, download their invoices and sign quotes. Every query they settle alone is one less call for your team.
